Rhetorical Analysis of an "A" Paper

You can clearly hear the writers voice throughout the paper. You can also tell which side he is on. It was clear and precise with what he is discussing. He also does a good job explaining what he is talking about at the very beginning.

High-Speed Rail:
  • Paper is students own work. 4
  • Paper is right length. About 14 pages and is at least 3,000 words. 4
  • Paper has title, sub-titles and page number. Also, grammar and punctuation is correct. 4
  • For the parenthetical citations he doesn't employ the right format. For example, in the first paragraph; 8 lines down he did not put (Taylor) inside the period. Signal phrases are used. Work Cited page is done well and sources seem credible. 3
  • "High-speed rail is necessary for California to improve the abysmal economy of California, revolutionize the way we travel in the United States mega-regions, and stop a spending frenzy on more roadways as oil continues to run out." This thesis is carried out throughout the paper. 4
  • It is logically built. For example, the writer starts at the very beginning of when the high-speed rails were introduced. 4
  • He refers to 10+ resources to give him creditable information from an array of sources. 4
